I talk about Shine Theory a lot around here, so I want you to be in the loop! Shine Theory is a concept created by some rad women Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow. The idea is simple when you see a woman who is killing the game in her personal life, career, marriage, etc don’t allow yourself to give into the natural jealousy that occurs. In the original article (which you should read), Ann tells us that when we see these amazing powerful woman we should try to be their friend.

This simple notion is something I have tried to embody in my own life. The comparison game is real, but what would happen if we stopped being jealous and started collaborating, praising, and supporting these women instead. Yup, all of us would look and be better.
