Hey Hey!
When I was in undergrad I had the Fitbit Charge smart watch. I really enjoyed the heart rate feature as well as the sleep tracking feature. I personally think the Fitbit app has one of the most user friendly and comprehensive interfaces out there. Eventually, my Fitbit charge broke, so about two months ago I decided to replace it in order to better keep track of my CrossFit workouts.
With the popularity of the Apple Watch now, I knew it would be nice to upgrade to a model that included some additional features like the text message notifications, which is why I ultimately chose the Fitbit Versa.

- Step Tracker
- Track and categorize workouts (General workout, weights, intervals, run, bike)
- Menstrual Tracking

My Opinion Of the Fitbit Versa
I love it, it is exactly what I was hoping it would be! I love being able to track my CrossFit workouts, particularly my heart rate during different types of workouts.
I think we all know how important sleep is, yet we all could probably use a little more! I’ve been trying to get at least 7 hours a night, but at this point its good when I can just average 7 for the week. Now, it is the first thing I check in the mornings when I wake up.
The text message notification feature is really convenient. At work I often don’t know where my phone is (oops) so being able to check my messages on my wrist is really nice. I also don’t really care that I can’t reply via the app.
The battery life is crazy impressive. I love that I can travel over the weekend and not have to worry about bringing my charger.
Ultimately, I watched a lot of youtube videos and read a lot of articles comparing the Fitbit Versa to the Apple Watch, and I’m really happy with my decision…and the money I saved.
