How I Asked: Bridesmaid Edition

Alright! Here is what’s next on the Graham Wedding front. If you don’t follow me on Instagram you might have missed that two weeks ago we secured the venue of my dreams…which also means we have a date. Y’all, I’m getting married in less than a year! It feels great to have a light at the end of the tunnel, but emotionally it’s also been hard because ya girl is #over the distance. Cue the tears.

Yeah…so anyways…

The Gift

Before I actually got engaged I had a chart on a google doc titled “Plan of Action” for what I needed to do in the immediate days after the engagement. Number two on that list was order my bridesmaid gifts. I knew I didn’t want to give out anything too “bridesmaidsy” (you know what I mean) but I did want it to be personal and somewhat individual. Somehow I landed on these Homesick candles. They have candles for different states and cities that have a scent reminiscent of the location.

With the candles I ordered cards from Etsy, to include a sweet note on. While writing these notes it really made me reflect on the fact that while this is a time Ra’Shaud and I are being intentional about our upcoming marriage. It’s also a time when we can both really grow with and enjoy all the special people around us who have been rooting for us for so long. Which is really important to us.

By the grace of God I was able to see almost all of my peeps in person to deliver their gifts, which felt really special to me because wow life is #crazy sometimes.

The Details

Okay so here are the logistics. I have 8 bridesmaids and 1 junior bridesmaid. The wedding colors are all based around “Citadel Blue” aka sky blueish. The dresses are picked out, and like I alluded to in the Say Yes to the Venue video, I have picked out their dress colors. Yes… colors…plural 🙂

Alright my friends, that’s its for now. I have almost all of my vendors confirmed so next up is engagement pictures and food tastings! Did someone say brunch?! Mhmmm.
